Raytheon Technologies is preparing to fire unvaccinated employees.
On October 15th, 2021, all Raytheon employees were forced to disclose their private medical COVID vaccination status under the threat of termination.
By November 15th, 2021, unvaccinated employees will not be allowed in Raytheon buildings. Â This will prevent many employees with costly Top Secret security clearances from being able to perform their duties on Raytheon campuses, even though they are not directly interfacing with government employees. Â Since this is the bulk of Raytheon’s work, it would have a direct impact on project schedules, taxpayer dollars, and most importantly, family livelihoods.
Raytheon Technologies has not commented to employees since Texas Governor Greg Abbott made his executive order forbidding companies from forcing vaccine mandates.
As it stands, Raytheon has not rescinded its requirement that all employees be vaccinated by December 8th. Â By January 1st, 2022, all new and existing Raytheon employees must be vaccinated or face termination.
Raytheon Technologies employs over 180,000 people worldwide. Â Raytheon employs more than 11,000 people in 18 major Texas locations and spends over $2 billon annually with Texas suppliers.
Raytheon recently opened new facilities in McKinney, Texas. Â This new facility was praised and endorsed by local Texas politicians and Governor Gregg Abbott himself for bringing over 500 new jobs to the area.
