ONE Fight Night 13 will come to U.S. primetime on Prime Video on Friday, August 4, and it has an incredible main event to lead the way.
On Wednesday, ONE Championship announced that ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Chingiz Allazov will defend the title for the first time against Marat Grigorian in a high-stakes trilogy contest.
The two met twice a decade ago. In early 2013, the two battled to a no contest before Grigorian picked up the win several months later. However, much has changed in the decade since they last exchanged leather.
Over the last year, Allazov has realized his dreams with a star-making run through the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix. After taking the tournament crown, Allazov knocked out Superbon Singha Mawynn to assume the division’s throne.
Grigorian has been just as good. Seen as one of the world’s pound-for-pound best strikers, Grigorian has won three matches in ONE, only losing to Superbon in a match for the championship.
The Armenian’s second attempt at gold will also help continue his story with the latest featherweight king. Allazov will be seeking to even the series with Grigorian, setting the stage for one of the year’s most incredible kickboxing matchups.
The summer is just starting to heat up, but come August the temperature will rise to new highs with this featherweight main event at ONE Fight Night 13.
ONE Fight Night 13 airs live from Bangkok on Prime Video on Friday, August 4. The event is free for all Amazon Prime members in the U.S. and Canada.
