According to CryptoQuant, BTC.com, one of the largest Bitcoin mining pools, transferred about 186,000 BTC (worth $19.9 billion) to Binance in October. These transfers usually occurred near local price lows, suggesting that miners are selling reserves to cover operational costs or hedge exposure. This kind of miner activity often signals sustained selling pressure, especially when paired with profit-taking from long-term holders, estimated at $2–3 billion daily in early October.
Over the past 24 hours, Bitcoin saw $234.7 million in liquidations, with 87% coming from long positions. Derivatives open interest rose 6.32%, meaning traders added leverage near local tops before being forced to close positions. The average funding rate of -0.0018% shows that negative sentiment remains in play, keeping volatility high across the market.
