Cloudflare has announced the launch of NET Dollar (NETD), a new U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin designed for the emerging AI-driven internet. The company says NET Dollar will enable instant, global, and secure transactions to support what it calls the “agentic web,” where autonomous AI agents handle everyday tasks like booking flights or managing schedules.

NET Dollar is intended to power microtransactions and pay-per-use models, helping creators, developers, and AI platforms monetize services directly without relying solely on ads or slow bank transfers.

The stablecoin rollout aligns with Cloudflare’s broader strategy to modernize the internet’s financial infrastructure, offering faster and more interoperable payments across borders. By contributing to open standards such as the Agent Payments Protocol, Cloudflare aims to position NET Dollar as a key tool for developers and businesses.

Stablecoins are becoming central to the next phase of digital economies.

ASTER crypto has surged over 7,000% since its launch on September 17, but there is a good chance that the Binance founder CZ-backed project will go to zero before 2025 comes to a close.
