Tyson Fury’s retirement lasted less than six months, and he’s coming back for a trilogy match with lineal heavyweight king Oleksandr Usyk. The former champion announced Thursday that he will face Uryk a third time on April 18, 2026, this time at the Wembley Stadium.
The news comes less than a day after boxing promoter Turki Alalshikh revealed that Fury would be part of the Riyadh Season in 2026.
“The ‘Gypsy King’ will be back,” Alalshikh posted on social media Wednesday. “I talked with him, and I have his word to have him in Riyadh Season in 2026. We have a rabbit to hunt!”
Fury called an end to his career in January at age 36, a month after his second loss to Usyk in Riyadh. Fury held a perfect 34-0-1 record in the sport prior to the setbacks, holding the IBF, IBO, WBC and WBO heavyweight belts.
Usyk is unbeaten in 23 professional bouts with 14 knockouts under his belt, and is currently slated to defend his four belts on July 19 in a rematch with Daniel Dubois. They fought in August 2023 in Poland, with Usyk winning via ninth-round knockout.
