The UFC’s annual pay-per-view trip to Abu Dhabi is set.
The promotion announced on Tuesday that UFC 321 takes place at Etihad Arena on Oct. 25. No bouts were revealed for the fight card.
Abu Dhabi was a pivotal location for the UFC during the COVID-19 era. With most of the major areas shut down, the UFC opened their “Fight Island” in the area where they hosted many events before fans were allowed to return to arenas. Since then, the UFC and Abu Dhabi have formed a partnership where a pay-per-view goes to the area once a year.
The relationship has since expanded, now adding a Fight Night event to the calendar. UFC Abu Dhabi takes place July 26 headlined by Robert Whittaker vs. Reinier de Ridder, along with a five-round co-main event featherweight tilt between Movsar Evloev and the debuting Aaron Pico.
This past October, UFC 308 took place at Etihad Arena and was capped off by Ilia Topuria’s knockout victory over Max Holloway in his lone featherweight title defense. The co-main event saw Whittaker compete in a pivotal middleweight matchup, but was submitted by the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev in the first round to earn a crack at Dricus du Plessis’ middleweight title at UFC 319 in August.
