YouGov Poll: President Trump Strongest Republican Candidate to Defeat Biden in General Election

“Mar-a-Lago, FL— A recent poll from NBC/YouGov finds President Trump is the strongest candidate to defeat Joe Biden, and is the strongest Republican candidate to handle the economy, foreign policy, immigration, healthcare, taxes, and crime—by incredibly wide margins.

The survey, conducted May 17-19, found that 59% of GOP voters believe President Trump is the leading candidate to defeat Joe Biden in a 2024 general election matchup, compared to only 27% saying the same of Ron DeSantis.

Among Republicans, President Trump is the strongest candidate to handle every single issue included in the survey.
