Tesla has built 400 Supercharger stalls in Hong Kong

Tesla has built its 400th Supercharger stall in Hong Kong, as highlighted by the company this week and celebrated with a special wrap.

On Friday, Tesla’s Charging account on X announced building Hong Kong’s 400th Supercharging stall, along with a picture of the charging post that shows a special wrap. The wrap shows text highlighting that it’s the “400th Supercharger in Hong Kong,” along with a special design that highlights the city’s unique skyline.

The Supercharger station is Tesla’s 80th in Hong Kong, and it’s located in Xibaocheng. The company also notes in the post that the stall arrives amidst Hong Kong’s 10-year Supercharger anniversary, and it just so happens to be a V4 charging station.

The stall is just the latest of Tesla’s charging stations to sport a special celebratory wrap, as the company often does when reaching an important milestone in a given country or throughout the world.

Last month, for example, Tesla surpassed 2,000 charging stalls in Norway, and it went on to build a stall with a Norwegian flag wrap to celebrate. Similarly, Tesla built its 500th Supercharging post in Denmark in March, including a wrap with the Danish flag.

Arguably the most notorious of these celebratory wraps came when Tesla built its 50,000th Supercharger stall worldwide, after which the company posted a photo of the stall painted in Ultra Red and debuted a scavenger hunt of sorts for owners to find the new site’s location. The Supercharging stall turned out to be located in Roseville, California, after Tesla owners discovered it in just a few days.

Tesla installed its first V4 Supercharger in Asia last October, as located on Hong Kong Island at the Lee Garden One hub in Causeway Bay. The company has been slowly rolling out the next-gen technology in multiple markets, and while most of the locations still only charge at V3 speeds, Tesla has been starting to experiment with faster charging rates in the U.S.
